november 26, 2014. Tid: 12:15 - 13:00

Illustration: Aleksander Nygård Tonheim

Associate professor Jon Hoem, Bergen University College: «locative audiobook». Jon Hoem researches on locative technologies at the Bergen University College.

Abstract
In the prototype, the locative audio book «Tilhører», Bluetooth and other positioning technologies for micro positioning of the user is used. Position and orientation are used to control a composite stereo image with environmental sounds, effects sounds and spoken content page. It can be experienced with the headset, via a proprietary mobile application.

Fictional work
«Part» is a fictional work , but the technology may well be used for other forms of communication using localized sound. I will show examples and talk about possible journalistic uses.
